Toxic

A breeze blows through the air,
Death and decay surrounds everything,
The only living thing is the air itself,
Only the wind moves,
No green is on the trees leaves,
The ground itself is only shades of gray,
A stream of black sits unmoving on the earth,
Fish float on dark green waters,
The world is dark, dead, bleak,
Red spots splatter the ground,
Yellowish skeletons are everywhere,
The only color is the air's green hue,
The air is filled with heaviness and despair,
This is the result of our thirst for power,
Humanity will be its own undoing,
Peace never seems to last,
Always men rushing off to war,
Bombs, guns, fires, death,
Children crying for lost parents,
War touches everything and everyone,
None are left unscathed,
We are the harbringers of our doom,
We are the makers of our destruction.
